VocaLibre

VocaLibre is an auditioned group, open to students of all students of the university.    The group is dedicated to meeting each other, music, and audiences as honestly as possible, expressing their shared stories through song.  From traditional choral music, to pop and R&B covers, from early music and renaissance motet to South African freedom song, the group is a hybrid ensemble exploring unique and innovative programming, and sharing their voice with the San Marcos community.   VocaLibre serves as a face of the music department, and of Texas State University, reaching out to audiences throughout central Texas.   From University Pride and Excellence campaigns, Board of Regents events, convocations and graduations,  to their regular service within the community,  their work as ambassadors for Texas State is written up in the spring '15 edition of Hillviews Magazine.    Vocalibre released their first album in spring 2016.

All Texas State students are welcome and encouraged to audition. Rehearsals are scheduled and organized around performance events.
